table of Contents

On Sunday, March 9, we held the Second Meeting of URBAN YOGA.

A second very motivating meeting, where the teachers Iskra Bohórquez and Graciela Santos Founders of this Movement spoke about the Vision and Mission of Urban Yoga.

Urban Yoga was born with the vision of being a movement of urban yoga practitioners who, together, contribute to the expansion of consciousness, the construction of civic kinship, and carry out organized actions to help groups in need in the region's communities.

To realize the vision outlined above, its founders planned to hold a traveling monthly meeting in open spaces such as parks, plazas, sports fields, and other venues. They also planned to develop and maintain the website. yogaurbano.org to provide information services related to Yoga, health and the common good.

The monthly meetings have a defined Program of Activities, which is planned to be repeated at each meeting, as it is intended to generate a mental state in the participants that allows them to specify the objectives that motivate the Movement, which are repeated again below:

  1. Expansion of Consciousness (i.e., Unity Consciousness)
  2. Construction of Civic Kinship (identification, recognition and emotional bonding between citizens of the same community)
  3. Organization to effectively help those in need within the community

Below, find out about the 3 activities in the Program for each meeting.
